We are so excited to reveal one of our latest works: Foster Restaurant!

Foster Restaurant is the latest creation by Chef Jason Potter and his wife, Tanya. “The name was inspired by my grandfather, but it also represents fostering community and building something from the ground up,” Jason said. “So that whole kind of theme is what we’re taking with us.” The Potters intend for the new restaurant to be eco-conscious and will reduce waste as much as they can. They mentioned using a “nose to tail to root to leaf” system, whereby they minimize waste by using all parts of their ingredients in new and creative ways.

The team at Lola Tucker Interiors was honored to be a part of the Potter’s vision, and we worked hand in hand with them to create the chic and welcoming space that is now Foster.

Foster is housed in an iconic and old Sea Cliff building dating back to the 1800s. Given the age of the building, we had our work cut out for us! It was a creative challenge to elevate the space while staying true to the building’s history.

As you enter the space, you are greeted with hanging chain curtains made of brass ball bearings. They add some sparkle and drama to the space and are a surefire conversation starter. The dining room is chic and moody with forest greens, blacks, and whites with the centerpiece being a custom walnut and brass communal table.

The chandeliers are brass and walnut and complement the table. We had some fun in both bathrooms by continuing the black/green/white color theme with a twist. Large-scale, unique art pulls together the design of the space.

Come join us at Foster Restaurant in Sea Cliff for a delicious meal and enjoy the beautiful décor.
