Lola Tucker Interiors is the brainchild of Rebecca (Becky) Goodman. The name Lola Tucker has a special meaning behind it. Becky returned to design school after a successful career in advertising. While in design school, her mom was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), an always fatal motor neuron disease. Her mom, Laura, was her biggest inspiration and best friend. They shared a lifelong love of design and reveled in the thrill of the chase for the perfect home accessory. Becky’s children were young when their grandmother was sick, and they could not say Grandma Laura, so they called her Grandma Lola, or Lola for short. Knowing her Mom’s time was limited, Becky wanted to honor her Mom and their shared love of design by using her Mom’s nickname Lola in her company. Tucker was the name of the beloved family pet, a gorgeous Golden Retriever. Hence the name Lola Tucker: Mom + Dog = Lola Tucker.
Despite having lost her Mom over 15 years ago, Becky continues to feel close to her by honoring her legacy through Lola Tucker Interiors.
